This course is equivalent to the AHA certification offering. The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction or opioid overdose. When a patient experiences a life-threatening emergency, healthcare providers need to act swiftly and promptly. The course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psychomotor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Course Lengths: Blended Learning- 2hrs online + 2hr skills session (times approximate) Includes 2 yr Red Cross certification

Cancelation Policy

Refunds: 90% refund 10 or more days prior to course start date 50% refund 5-9 days in advance No refunds within 5 days of course without documentation Reschedule: no charge for first reschedule 10 days prior to course start. $25 charge to reschedule within 9 days of course. When there are unforeseen circumstances out of anyone’s control, if possible, classes will be rescheduled rather than cancelled. Class Policies Participants must arrive to class on time and attend all required class sessions If a class has pre-requisites and a participant is unsuccessful, a refund will not be issued. Transfer to another course offering is possible depending on availability. Participant agrees to cover cost for additional instruction if placed on candidate work plan (instructor level courses)
